A 20-year-old Bellmawr man injured after striking his head during a fight outside a Jimmy Buffett concert in Camden Tuesday night has died.

Ryan Coyle had been amid thousands of "Parrotheads" headed into the Susquehanna Center to watch Buffett when an acquaintance Matthew Shields, 21, came up behind him and punched him.

Coyle fell, striking his head on the pavement. He was rushed from the waterfront arena's parking lot to Cooper University Hospital.

Shields, of Westville, was charged with aggravated assault and sent to Camden County Jail on $50,000 bail. Authorities have not said what set off the attack.

Coyle's family released a statement Saturday, describing Coyle as an avid baseball player and prankster who "brought life to wherever he showed his face." He graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School, where he played on the school's state championship baseball team.

"Words are not enough to express the feeling of grief and loss that we have in losing Ryan. Ryan was gentle, kind, loving, full of laughter and goofiness," the statement read.
