Woman killed by train near Thorndale station

A woman was struck by a train and killed this morning near SEPTA's Thorndale station.

Service between the Paoli and Thorndale Stations was disrupted for more than two hours after the train hit the woman about 5:15 a.m.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is under way.
