A Camden man was seriously injured on Thursday in a two-vehicle accident on I-76 in South Jersey, state police said

Prelimary reports from the scene indicated that Julian Ngnie-Tetouom, 19, had died as a result of the crash, but he was in critical but stable condition hours later at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, police said. A second driver, Anthony Modico, suffered minor injuries.

Ngnie-Tetouom, 19, suffered extensive head, neck and chest injuries, when the GMC Terrain driven by Modico, 31, also of Camden, collided with Ngnie-Tetouom's Toyota Corolla, which was disabled in the roadway.

The crash happened about 10 a.m. as Modico was traveling behind an unknown third vehicle in the westbound lanes in Gloucester City. The third vehicle made an evasive move to avoid hitting the disabled Corolla, but Modico was unable to avoid colliding with it. -    Darran Simon
