Two young Central Pennsylvanians are accused of administering quite a bruising to a Ford Fusion, including trying to set the car aflame using tampons.

The woman also faces a charge of making terroristic threats after allegedly vowing to "f---ing kill" a state trooper.

About 3:15 a.m. on Jan. 7, near Hillside Tavern in Metal Township, Franklin County, troopers found found the green 2006 Ford with a busted-out rear window, a cracked windshield, "numerous dents," an open hood, disconnected hoses, blood on the front passenger's seat, and no license plate.

Troopers were responding to a witness' report of seeing two people damaging a vehicle.

"It was also discovered that the gas cap was removed and tampons were used to possibly ignite the gas tank," according to a criminal complaint signed by Trooper Antwjuan Cox.

"Tampon was used in the engine compartment where the oil fill cap is located. Ashes were at the gas cap area and the oil fill cap area."

The arrival of the car's owner, Falon Clark, led to troopers back to the tavern, where they arrested Patricia Elyse Deshong, 25, of Harrisonville, and Quentin Adam Deshong, 22, of Hustontown.

They were charged with attempted arson, criminal mischief and public drunkenness.

The Deshongs are sister and brother, according to several media reports.

The woman had the vehicle's license plate and registration in her possession, according to the complaint.

Police also arrested Gary Scott Boggs for driving under the influence after he dropped off Clark at her damaged car.

Boggs also said Patricia Deshong "had thrown a beer bottle through the back window of his Ford F150 truck," according to police.

State police did not return an initial call asking for motive and other details, as well as confirmation of how the Deshongs are related.

Patricia Deshong was listed as a friend on Clark's Facebook page, according to www.thesmokinggun.com.
