At least one person was seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and at least three other vehicles this morning on Interstate 295 in Mount Laurel, State Police said.

The rider of a Harley Davidson was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, said Det. Brian Polite, a spokesman with the State Police. He didn't have information on any additional injuries.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-295 between exits 40 and 36 shortly before 11 a.m., state police said.

The north and southbound lanes were shut down for a time so the helicopter to land on the highway to take the victim to Cooper, Polite said. The northbound lanes have reopened and only the center and right southbound lanes remain closed for the investigation, Polite said.
