Hit-and-run in Pine Hill

Police are searching for the driver who ran over a ten-year-old boy in Pine Hill Wednesday evening.

The boy, whose name was not released by police, was walking across Cross Keys Road around 6:30 p.m., when he was hit by what police describe as a gray or silver mini-van.

The van drove off, heading south on Cross Keys Road, a witness told authorities.

A second vehicle was also involved, described as a full-size gray wan with a mounted tire and ladder extending to the roof, police said.

The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition.
