Elderly man killed outside 7-Eleven
An elderly man was pronounced dead after he was run over outside of a convenience store in Juniata Wednesday night, police said.
An 84-year-old man was killed when he was run over outside a convenience store in Juniata last night, police said.
The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. outside a 7-Eleven on K Street near Luzerne, police said.
A delivery driver was backing out of a parking space and apparently did not see the man behind the truck.
The victim, identified as Robert Carlson, was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said he lived nearby on the 3900 block of K Street.
Police are investigating the accident and said drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
