Camden boy, shot in head, dies

A 16-year-old Camden boy who was shot in the head in the city last weekend died on Tuesday, authorities said Wednesday.

Responding officers found Jonathon Acevedo lying the grass median on the 600 block of South 7th Street around 8:21 p.m. on Saturday, said the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Camden Police.

Acevedo was kept on life support on Cooper University Hospital in Camden. He died around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
