Bucks slip wins $200K, as Powerball hits $144 million

A Bucks County ticket became worth $200,000 during Powerball's rise to $144 million for Wednesday's drawing.

A ticket bought at the Giant Food Store, 3 Doublewoods Rd. in Langhorne matched the first five numbers drawn Saturday night - 2, 8, 40, 49 and 50 - but not the Powerball of 36. So did five other tickets, purchased in Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina and Tennessee.

No ticket hit the jackpot or the $1 million prize for matching the first five while having the Power Play multiplier option.

An even bigger local winner was created last Tuesday. In the Cash 5 game, the $525,000 jackpot was won by a ticket purchased at Wilson's Check Cashing, 1201 E. Susquehanna Ave., Philadelphia. It matched all five numbers drawn: 7, 12, 27, 35 and 36.

Two $200K Powerball prizes ready to expire. There are just two days left to claim the $200,000 won by a Powerball ticket purchased for the May 26, 2010, drawing at Kelly's News, 3178 Kensington Ave. in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. It matched the first five numbers drawn - 1, 6, 10, 13 and 20, - but not the Powerball of 32.

Only five days remain for another $200,000 winner, who bought a ticket for the May 29, 2010, Powerball drawing at the Sunoco at 8955 Gap Newport Pike in Avondale. It matched the first five numbers - 1, 3, 24, 28 and 41 - but not the Powerball of 10.

Powerball and Mega Millions are each played in more than 40 states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
