Gunfire from outside wounds Holmesburg woman in house

A Holmesburg woman was in critical but stable condition after being shot twice in the kitchen of her house on the 4700 block of Vista Street, police said.

About 9 p.m., the 29-year-old woman was hit by gunfire that came from outside the house, police said.

She was struck in the left arm and left side and taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus, police said. No arrests were reported.    - Mike Newall
