Neo-Nazis stage small Trenton rally

Roughly 50 members of a neo-Nazi group took to the streets of New Jersey's capital city on Saturday to speak out against illegal immigrants, crime and the nation's leaders.

But the National Socialist Movement members received little support from protesters who braved rain showers and chilly temperatures in Trenton to oppose the group and its ideology, which they say is racist and anti-Semitic.

The opposing camps were kept separated during the 90-minute rally at the Statehouse by dozens of state police troopers - some who shepherded police dogs - and Trenton officers.

No major problems were reported, but it was not immediately clear if any arrests had been made.

During the rally, NSM members repeatedly responded to the protesters' derisive and obscene remarks with repeated Nazi salutes and chants of "Sieg Heil."
