One dead, one wounded in Fairhill

Two men were shot, one fatally, early Sunday morning near the corner of North Hancock and West Cambria Streets in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia.

Two men were shot, one fatally, early Sunday morning near the corner of North Hancock and West Cambria Streets in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia.

A police spokesperson said officers responded at 2:47 a.m. to reports of multiple gunshots. They discovered the first victim, a 27-year-old Hispanic male in a black Chevrolet Suburban. He had been shot once in the chest and was pronounced dead at 3 a.m. at Temple University Hospital.

The second victim, a 20-year-old Hispanic male, presented himself at Episcopal Hospital at 3 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his right arm. He is in stable condition. Neither men's names have been released.

Police have yet to determine motive or make an arrest.
