Cop arrested, charged with passing bad checks

A 33-year-old Philadelphia police officer was arrested Friday for allegedly passing a bad checks, the department said.

Rabecca Bozeman, who was assigned to the 15th District in the lower Northeast, was suspended for 30 days with intent to dismiss, the department said.

Bozeman allegedly went to a store in the 2100 block of Cottman Avenue last August and used a bad check to make a purchase. She was off duty at the time.

An investigation by police Internal Affairs and the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office found that Bozeman was passing bad checks, the department said.

Bozeman, who joined the police force on Sept. 10, 2007, was charged with bad checks, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property
