Man dies in fire in Northeast

Fire marshals are investigating the cause of a house fire that claimed the life a man in the Summerdale section early today.

The fire in a twin at 4704 Roosevelt Blvd. was reported at 1:39 a.m. and firefighters found heavy smoke on the second floor on arrival, officials said.

The fire was declared under control at 2:17 a.m. and firefighters found the body of the unidentified man inside.
