Woman, 86, charged with wrong-way trip on 322 and I-95

An 86-year-old Wilmington woman has been charged with driving the wrong way on Route 322 and I-95 in Delaware County on Saturday, causing four vehicles to crash as motorists swerved to get out of the way.

Pennsylvania State Police also are asking their Delaware counterparts to retest Margaret Lazor to determine if she should be allowed to continue driving.

Lazor allegedly became lost and ended up traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Route 322 in her 1993 Buick Century station wagon before connecting with I-95, driving north in the southbound lanes.

While four vehicles were damaged swerving to get out of her way, no serious injuries were report/

Police said it is not known exactly where she entered Route 322 or exited the interstate.
