Helene Donahue, 65, of Delran was trying to cross the highway shortly before 6 a.m. when she was hit by a southbound 1998 Jeep Cherokee, according to police.

The SUV was driven by Jamie Tyrie Wilson, 31, of Willingboro, who was on his way to work, police said.

The accident happened between Manor Drive and Haines Mill Road, near a Sunoco station.

Two lanes of traffic were blocked for more than an hour afterward, leaving only one lane squeezing by the investigation scene, according to traffic.com.
