Woman fatally stabbed in S.W. Phila.

The new day began with a woman found dead in front of a house in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police said she had been stabbed multiple times in face, neck and back.

Officers responding to a call of a person with a weapon found the woman at 12:02 a.m. at the bottom of the front steps of a house on the 1200 block of South Peach Street in Kingsessing, police said.

Medics pronounced her dead at 12:06 a.m.

No word yet about a possible motive.
