Police say they are still seeking a motive in the shooting death early Tuesday of a 32-year-old man in Nicetown.

Police say they are still seeking a motive in the shooting death early Tuesday of a 32-year-old man in Nicetown.

The victim was identified today as Jason Patton-Thompas, who lived on the 3900 block of Smedley Street.

Patton-Thompas was found shot multiple times in the chest and head about two blocks away on West Pike Street near Germantown Avenue about 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.

He died 35 minutes later at Temple University Hospital.
