The fire was reported at 2:05 p.m. at the Eastern Distributors Co., 3401 W. Indiana Avenue, which is located in a largely warehouse district. It was declared under control just before 4 p.m.
According to Executive Fire Chief Daniel Williams, the intense fire was primarily contained to the single-story section of the one- and two-story brick complex. No one was injured, Williams said.
While there were some residential neighborhoods nearby, Williams said no homes were in immediate danger and none had been evacuated.
