A 64-year-old woman is in critical condition after being stabbed at a home in Northeast Philadelphia by her granddaughter, police said.

Police this morning were searching for the 15-year-old granddaughter but declined to name her.

The attack happened about 6:30 this morning on the 3400 block of Brookview Drive in the city's Modena Park section, police said. That block is adjacent to Archibishop Ryan High School, not far from Northeast Airport.

The victim, whose name was not released, was stabbed twice in the abdomen and taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Campus (formerly Frankford Torresdale Hospital).

The attack did not appear to involve a break-in or a robbery, police said.

No weapon was recovered and no one had been arrested as of a couple of hours after the attack.
