The Delaware County man convicted of manufacturing child pornography in a case prosecutors describe as a heinous and depraved was sentenced today to 120 years in prison.

John Jackey Worman, 42, of Colwyn, had requested that he not have to appear at sentencing. U.S. District Judge Lawrence F. Stengel denied his request, said Michelle Rotella, Assistant United States Attorney.

Worman, who was diagnosed as a pedophile with an anti-social personality disorder, showed no emotion as Stengel delivered the sentence.

"It is not likely that he will have any true respect for the law," Stengel said, adding that he had every reason to believe that Worman, "would prey on others at the earliest opportunity."

In 2006, investigators found 1.2 million images of child pornography on Worman's computer after one of the victims came forward. They also found 11,000 video clips of Worman as he sexually abused children.

Co-defendant Dorothy Prawdzik was sentenced in April to 30 years for her part in the sexual exploitation and abuse of her four young nieces. Prawdzik, a former girlfriend of Worman, undressed and posed children before cameras so Worman could film and sexual abuse them. She was also filmed having sex with her son, a daughter, and a niece.

Concetta Jackson, who allowed Worman to install hidden cameras in her home and helped him lure children through her babysitting service, is still awaiting sentencing.

In a sentencing memo to the court, Rotella said Worman was never held accountable for abuse of one other child.

"Every single day for years Worman forced T.B. to line in a small, wooden box that he kept on the filthy basement floor of his mother's home. The box was so small that T.B. could only lie down; he could not sit or stand."

The memo went on to say that Worman would lock the young boy in the box at night and, if he was let out, a rope was tied around his waist. The boy was not given a bed and forced to sleep in the hallway.

"Worman filmed himself screaming at this 10-year-old child with such force that T.B. can be seen literally shaking with fear and ultimately urinating in his pants because he was so scared of Worman."
