On June 17, a Sunday, Lawrence Rose was shot in the abdomen in the 1800 block of South Seventh Street, Officer Beth DiDonato said this morning.

He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he died shortly after 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

He lived on South Sixth Street, a block from the site of the shooting.
