Robbers make clean getaway from Laundromat

24th Street near Shunk, South Philadelphia

Two men left a Laundromat employee's head spinning early yesterday morning when they robbed the business of its video-surveillance system and an undisclosed sum of cash, according to police.

At 5:17 a.m., one of the robbers entered the Super CleanLaundromat and struck up a conversation with the employee working within, police said. During the conversation, the robber told the worker that he had a gun and was planning to rob the store, according to police, but he also told the worker that they were "cool," and he wouldn't hurt him.

The robber then let his accomplice in through a back door, and the two stole money and the store's video-surveillance system before running toward SnyderAvenue, authorities said.

No injuries were reported.

6G taken in home invasion

Allegheny Avenue near 2nd Street, North Philadelphia

Three robbers got away with more than $6,000 in cash and a bevy of expensive goods during a home invasion early Saturday morning in North Philly.

About 3:35 a.m., three armed men broke into the 35-year-old victim's house through a rear window and pointed a gun at him, police said. The victim was then struck in the head from behind with a blunt object before the robbers took $6,300 in cash, a 40-inch television, two cell phones and $1,000 worth ofjewelry from the house, according to police.

The suspects, all of whom are described as Hispanic males about 5-9, 140 pounds and between the ages of 19 and 25, escaped the house and remain on the run, police said.

Teen shot outside mini-market

Ogontz Avenue near 74th, WestOak Lane

A 19-year-old man is recovering from gunshot wounds he suffered outside a mini-market late Saturday night.

At 11:34 p.m., police responded to the A-Plus Mini Market and found the victim, whose identity has not been released, suffering from several gunshot wounds to his buttocks and groin, authorities said.

The victim, who claimed he was shot by a man wearing all-black clothing, was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

A motive for the shooting was unknown last night.

Shooting leaves man critical

IrvingStreet near 59th, West Philadelphia

A man was critically wounded during an early morning shooting Saturday.

About 1 a.m., the victim, 29, was shot once in his right abdomen, authorities said.

Police took the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition. There was no information on the shooter or a motive last night.

One dead, two wounded in shooting

Prince Street near Crittenden, East Germantown

Three people were shot, one fatally, last night in East Germantown, police said.

Police found the three men lying wounded outside a home on Prince Street about 8:45 p.m.

One victim, a 34-year-old man, had been shot twice and was taken by police to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:08 p.m.

The second victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot once in the left leg. He was also taken to Einstein, and was in stable condition last night.

The third man, 31, was in critical condition at Einstein last night with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police released no information last night on the shooter or motive.
