Police seek SUV in Port Richmond hit-and-run

Police are looking for a Ford Explorer connected to a Jan. 3 hit-and-run crash along Cedar Street in Port Richmond.

Philadelphia police are looking for clues in a Jan. 3 hit-and-run crash that critically injured a woman in Port Richmond.

A Ford Explorer slammed into the victim around 4:30 p.m. as she tried to enter a vehicle on the 3100 block of Cedar Street, according to investigators.

The driver allegedly fled, leaving the wounded 65-year-old woman in the street.

She was taken to a local hospital, where she remained in a coma, as of Thursday, police said.

Investigators believe the dark-colored Explorer was manufactured between 1995 and 1998 and said it should be missing its passenger side mirror.
