Police: Drunk USPS driver flipped mail truck in Delco

A U.S. Postal Service driver has been charged with DUI after crashing her mail truck Tuesday afternoon in Delaware County.

A U.S. Postal Service driver has been charged with DUI after crashing her mail truck Tuesday afternoon in Delaware County.

State police said 58-year-old Deborah Reynolds, of Chester, lost control of the USPS truck around 4:45 p.m. on West Rose Tree Road north of Painter Road in Middletown Township.

The truck crashed into the berm of the highway before flipping on its side, police said.

Reynolds allegedly had an open container of alcohol inside her purse and showed signs of impairment.

She was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, police said.
