Normal PATCO service resumes after report of suspicious package
PATCO commuters faced delays this morning after a suspicious package was reported.
A Philadelphia police spokeswoman said a suspicious package was reported at the 8th and Market streets station around 9 a.m.
That station was closed for about 20 minutes while authorities investigated. Both eastbound and westbound service in Philadelphia was also briefly suspended.
PATCO said around 9:20 a.m. that the station reopened and service was resuming, but both westbound and eastbound riders should expect delays.
The transit agency said shortly before 10:30 a.m. that normal service had returned.
