Mega Millions jackpot rises, 3 tickets just miss

Plus: Only 1 day left for Philadelphia ticket to collect $1 million

The Mega Millions jackpot went up to $72 million for the annuity, because no one matched all the numbers drawn Tuesday night. They were 25, 45, 51, 53 and 73, with a Mega Ball of 2.

Three tickets, though, missed only the Mega Ball. The one sold in Pennsylvania is worth $1 million, before taxes. It was sold in York, at a Turkey Hill at 3690 E. Market St. The two sold in California are worth $972,147 under that state's pari-mutuel system. They were sold at an Abertson's in Alhambra and a Donut Depot in Canoga Park.

Friday's jackpot will be worth $41 million for the cash payout.

Powerball. Tonight's jackpot is worth $171 million for the annuity, $102 million for cash.

Deadline looms for Philadelphia tickets worth $1 million, $250,000.

Thursday, Sept. 18, is the deadline for someone to cash a Philadelphia ticket and collect $1 million from from the Sept. 18, 2013, Powerball drawing. The ticket was sold at Loges Newsstand, 101 S. 18th Street, and matched the first five numbers: 7, 10, 22, 32 and 35, but not the Powerball of 19.

Sept. 26 is the deadline for someone to cash a Philadelphia ticket and collect $250,000 in the Sept. 27, 2013, Mega Millions drawing. The ticket was sold at Hansa News Stand, 3501 N. Broad St., and matched the first five numbers, 9, 23, 27, 49 and 51, but not the Mega Ball of 38.

Bucks County ticket among latest Pennsylvania Cash 5 winners.

In the drawing for Monday, Sept. 15, $325,000 was won by a ticket purchased at Boyer's Food Market, 329 S. Liberty St., in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County. It matched all the numbers: 7, 17, 19, 35 and 37.

In the drawing for Friday, Sept. 12, two tickets each won $225,000 by matching all five numbers: 3, 10, 32, 39 and 41. They were sold at Ye Olde Tobacco Shop, 105 Market St., Bristol, Bucks County, and the Sunoco at 113 Noble Ave. in Crafton, Allegheny County.

Burlington County ticket among latest New Jersey Cash 5 winners.

In the drawing for Monday, Sept. 15, an Atlantic County ticket won the $397,978 jackpot. It was purchased at Nesco Liquor, 3180 Nesco Rd., in Hammonton. It matched all five numbers: 4, 10, 12, 20 and 43.

In the drawing for Thursday, Sept. 11, a Burlington County ticket won the $257,976 jackpot. It was purchased at the Mail Place, 300 S. Lenola Rd., Maple Shade. It matched all the numbers: 1, 8, 11 , 34 and 35.
