Man on motorcycle dies in crash with SEPTA bus

A 46-year-old man on a motorcycle died in a crash with a SEPTA bus late Friday afternoon in the city's Olney section, police said.

The motorcycle was traveling north in the 5500 block of Rising Sun Avenue when it ran a red light and was hit by the Route 26 bus heading west on Olney Avenue, police said. He was taken by medics to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m.

No one on the bus was injured.
