Infant dies after five-story fall in West Philadelphia

A 22-month-old boy died Tuesday afternoon after falling out of a fifth-story apartment window in West Philadelphia, police said.

About 12:50 p.m., police were flagged down in the 400 block of North Street to aid the boy, Hezekiah Robinson, who had fallen onto a concrete walkway outside the Westpark Apartments, police said.

The boy was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The mother, Lonnia Robinson, 22, told police she was in another room of the apartment when her son fell out the window. She said no one else was in the apartment, police said.

The case is being investigated by the police Special Victims Unit.
