Body found in vacant N. Philly lot

A body was found Thursday night in a vacant North Philadelphia lot.

Police said the discovery was made shortly after 6:15 P.M. on the 2500 block of North 11^th Street in the Hartranft neighborhood.

The body was wrapped inside a blanket, according to investigators. The victim's gender and race had not yet been determined Thursday, and additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
