A man was shot and killed near Temple University's Health Sciences campus in the Franklinville section of North Philadelphia early Sunday morning, according to police.
A man was shot and killed near Temple University's Health Sciences campus in the Franklinville section of North Philadelphia early Sunday morning, according to police.
Officers found the 40-year-old victim, who is listed as a John Doe, with a single gunshot wound to the head inside a car on the 3400 block of Old York Road around 5:44 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 5:55 a.m.
Police have not released a motive or an arrest in the case.
Temple University sent out an alert about the shooting at the Health Sciences Center campus Sunday morning, telling students to use caution and avoid the area.
