A 36-year-old man was killed in a street shooting Thursday night in North Philadelphia, police said.

A 36-year-old man was killed in a street shooting Thursday night in North Philadelphia, police said.

The victim, identified Friday as Lee Vasquez, was on the 3200 block of North Reese Street, where he lived, when he was shot several times in the chest and once in the back of the head around 7:24 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 7:30 p.m..

Police said three males wearing hoodies were seen fleeing the shooting scene. No other details were available and the motive for the killing remained unknown Friday. - Rita Giordano
