Woman, 78, fatally struck by a vehicle in Center City
A 78-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Center City, police said. The woman was struck at the intersection of 15th and Locust Streets shortly before 2:30 p.m. She was taken by medics to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2:57 p.m.

The vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was not arrested, police said. The accident remains under investigation.
