Delco man charged with molesting 7-year-old

A 41-year-old man was arrested Friday in Delaware County for sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl and possessing child pornography, prosecutors said.

Matthew P. Maffei, of Aston, allegedly assaulted the girl in her Middletown home and took cellphone photographs of the victim naked.

On Friday morning, detectives executed a search warrant at Maffei's home and found more than 225 images of child porn on a flash drive, including copies of two photographs of the victim, prosecutors said.

Maffei was charged with sexual abuse of children and 225 counts of possession of child pornography. He was being held at Delaware County Prison in lieu of $250,000 cash bail.
