Investigation underway in firefighter death
The Philadelphia Fire Department announced the death of firefighter Gabriel Lee of Ladder Company 12 Saturday night. In a brief statement, the department said Lee "died while working his night shift" and that "information surrounding his death remain unknown at the present time."

"We are respectfully asking all media outlets to allow the investigation process to proceed without interruption," the statement went on to say. "Details will be forwarded at the conclusion of the investigation."
Ladder Company 12 is located at Broad Street and Glenwood Avenue in North Philadelphia.
