Philadelphia police are asking for help identifying a gunman who robbed a Northeast Philadelphia store Monday night.

The man entered the Abreu Mini Market, at 948 Sanger St. in the Summerdale section, at about 8:25 p.m. After getting a drink, he went to the counter and pointed a black semiautomatic pistol at the cashier behind the store's plastic partition, police said Wednesday.

"Do you want to die?" the robber threatened the other man.

In the video, the gunman is seen going behind the partition and struggling with the male cashier. After the cashier threw money on the floor, the gunman snatched up the cash before fleeing. He was last seen running south on Frontenac Street.

The gunman, whose face is clearly shown in the video, is about 5-foot-6, and was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, a red or maroon shirt, a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information on the gunman is asked to call the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or the Northeast Detective Division at 215-686-3153. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
