3 children among 5 injured in crash on MLK Drive

Five people were injured, including three children, in an automobile accident Wednesday afternoon on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, authorities said.

The accident involving at least two vehicles occurred shortly before 5 p.m. near the Falls Bridge, authorities said.

The five people injured were transported to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
