Girl, 16, hurt after being hit by suspected drunk driver

A 16-year-old girl suffered a broken arm and possible concussion when she was hit by a suspected drunk driver Thursday night in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

The girl was struck around 8 p.m. at Rising Sun and Bleigh Avenues in Burholme, police said. Medics took her to Aria Health-Frankford Campus.

The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, police said. - Robert Moran
