Body found in Schuylkill in SW Phila.

An unidentified body was found Thursday night on the west bank of the Schuylkill in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.

The body was discovered by a kayaker near 61st Street and Passyunk Avenue, police said. The gender or race of the body could not be determined at the scene.

No further information was immediately available.
