Man gunned down in S. Philly Thursday ID'd

Police on Friday identified a man who was gunned down in South Philadelphia Thursday as Lamar Henderson, 30, of the 1900 block of Sigel Street in South Philadelphia.

About 3:20 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a shooting on the 2600 block of Dickinson Street, where they found Henderson in a 2016 Toyota Corolla suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was taken by medics to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:37 p.m.

No arrest has been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or call 911. As with all homicides, there is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
