Uber, PSPCA bringing puppies to area offices Thursday

If having puppies delivered to your office sounds too good to be true: It's not.

If having puppies delivered to your office sounds too good to be true: It's not.

On Thursday, Uber and the Pennsylvania SPCA are partnering to bring puppy play-dates to offices in Philadelphia's Center City, Old City, Navy Yard and University City areas, as well as Conshohocken, King of Prussia and Cherry Hill.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., workers in those places can use the ride-sharing app to request 15 minutes of puppy playtime for $30.

Soon after, adoptable puppies will be brought to your office (pups won't be delivered to private residences).

The money raised will be donated to the PSPCA.

It's the third time Uber and the PSPCA have teamed up: In August, 11 puppies were adopted and $1,500 was raised during a similar effort. An October day of kitten playdates raised $4,000 and led to 21 adoptions.

All of the puppies brought to offices Thursday will be available to be adopted from the PSPCA shelter at 330 E. Erie Ave. from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
