Officers who were on the 2900 block of Rosehill Street making a narcotics arrest about 2:20 p.m. Saturday were informed that an unresponsive woman was inside a building on the block.

They found the woman on the dining-room floor of a residence. Medics who responded to the scene pronounced McCafferty, of the 3000 block of Mercer Street, dead moments later at the scene.
