Pet adoption event in S. Philly Friday

A large pet adoption event will take place in South Philly on Friday. The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is partnering with the North Shore Animal League America in holding the event from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Monster Pets store, 1946 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd.

The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is partnering with the North Shore Animal League America in holding the event from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Monster Pets store, 1946 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd.

Kittens, cats, puppies and dogs will be up for adoption. The event will also offer kids crafts, games and face painting.

The North Shore Animal League America, based in Long Island, N.Y., bills itself as the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization.
