Cops: Father shoots son, 38, in chest

A 38-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday after allegedly being shot once in his chest by his own father, police said.

Police said the shooting happened about 1 p.m. outside on the 3200 block of Princeton Avenue in Mayfair following an argument between the father and son. The victim was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital.

Police said an arrest was made and a gun was recovered. Neither the father nor the son's names were immediately released.
