A Philadelphia police officer was involved in a crash with another driver early Saturday in West Philadelphia, authorities said.

The crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at the intersection of 52nd Street and Wyalusing Avenue, a police dispatcher said.
The dispatcher said she did not have information on the officer's condition, but 6abc reported that the officer was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and was expected to be fine.
The news station said the 16th District officer was responding to a call for help from another officer who was dealing with an armed man.
It said the driver of the other vehicle was not seriously hurt.
