Woman hurt in East Germantown fire

A woman was injured in an overnight fire in Philadelphia's East Germantown section. Fire crews were called to the blaze at a three-story building on the 6300 block of Morton Street at about midnight.

Fire crews were called to the blaze at a three-story building on the 6300 block of Morton Street at about midnight.

One person was taken to a hospital, the Fire Department said.

Television news reports described the victim as a woman who jumped to escape the blaze. Fire officials said more information about the victim wasn't available.

The fire was declared under control in about 20 minutes.

The blaze remains under investigation.
