WASHINGTON CROSSING A men's tennis team based at the Bucks County Racquet Club finished second last weekend in a 4.0 USTA League Adult national championship.
Todd Dlugosz of Morrisville; Terry Schneider of Yardley; Rick Rogers of Newtown; and Pete Macios of Doylestown, are part of the 11-man team that was runner-up in the 40-and-over division at the tournament in Indian Wells, Calif.
Representing the USTA Middle States Section, the Bucks County Racquet Club team, lost, 4-1, to a team from Dallas in the championship match. Earlier in the day, the Washington Crossing team defeated a team from Centennial, Colo., 4-1, in the semifinals.
Established in 1980, USTA League tennis features more than 865,000 players nationwide and is billed as the world's largest recreational tennis league. - Inquirer staff
