Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in finding an East Germantown man who they say shot another man in the head last week in a neighborhood dispute.

Chris Miller, 24, also known as George Spain and "Fell," is wanted on aggravated assault charges. About 6 p.m. Aug. 25, police said, Miller walked up to a 29-year-old man who had stopped his car at a stop sign at Woodlawn and Bloyd Streets in East Germantown.

The man made it through the intersection, then heard a gunshot and blacked out, he told police. When he woke up, he realized he had crashed his car. By the time police arrived at the scene, the man was sitting in a chair on the sidewalk on Bloyd with a gunshot wound to the left side of his head.

He was admitted to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say Miller, of the 5600 block of Stokes Street, should be considered armed and dangerous. Lt. Dan Brooks of the 39th District said the shooting was a result of a neighborhood feud that Miller, a member of a small local drug crew, had become involved in.

In other words, the shooting stemmed from "Miller's inability to get along with other people," Brooks said.

He said Miller is also a suspect in other violent crimes in the area.

Anyone with any information on Miller's whereabouts is asked to call Northwest Detectives at 215-686-3353, or 911. Brooks said police believe Miller is still in the area where the shooting occurred.
