Philly man identified as victim in deadly January crash

A Philadelphia man has been identified as the pedestrian killed in a January crash on Interstate 495 in Delaware in which several vehicles left the scene after striking him.

A Philadelphia man has been identified as the pedestrian killed in a January crash on Interstate 495 in Delaware in which several vehicles left the scene after striking him.

Delaware State Police on Tuesday said 61-year-old Timothy Moody was the victim of the Jan. 22 incident.

Moody was hit by when he tried to cross the northbound lanes of the highway near Edgemoor Road in Edgemoor, New Castle County.

He was knocked to the ground and then hit by several other vehicles at about 8 p.m.

None of the cars remained at the scene.

The models of the striking vehicles are still unknown, police said, adding the investigation is continuing.
