NORRISTOWN Montgomery County's chief child-care official has been appointed to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Child Care Association.

Elizabeth Adeyi leads the county office that administers the Subsidized Child Day Care Program and the free courthouse day-care center for children whose parents who have jury duty, or have to attend trials or do other court-related business.

Her office also provides information and referral services for all county residents regardless of income level.

The Pennsylvania Child Care Association is a nonprofit group whose 1,800 members employ about 20,000 child-care workers. The association provides guidance and support to those workers, and advocates for research and resources to promote early childhood education. - Jessica Parks
